About

Gender Relations is a project that takes a critical look at pop culture through a gender perspective. Each day we are subjected to thousands of images and each of those images whether we can see it or not have been engendered. Gender Relations takes a look at those in a semi-satirical, sarcastic and critical, yet serious, way in order to raise awareness that we do not need to be shackled down by these images as well as offer alternatives.

If Gender Relations were to have a mantra it would to promote media & popular culture literacy for everyone. The goals are not to instruct or dictate that one should not consume media or even certain types of media, but rather be aware of implications and not let that affect us on a level that is deeper than the superficial nature of the actual messages.
